Brooklyn Graduated from Hillcrest!!!

This is such a cute picture of Dakota, Brooklyn and Tinisha. Bet Camille wonders where those years went. Such beautiful girls. So proud of all three. Alexis stayed home to watch Ciara. She is so good to help Camille. Thanks Alexis, Camille really owes you now.

What a wonderful event for us to attend. Brooklyn graduated from High school. She has worked really hard this past year and has been so active in getting her Senior projects finished. She has been in two pageants this year. One being Miss Hillcrest and the other being Miss Rexburg. She has also had a part-time job at Great Harvest. Camille helped her fix up the Domestic Violence Center by painting and decorating the bathroom. She knows how important it is to have a pretty bathroom to get ready in the morning. She participated in track events until her knees became too sore. But Camille and Brooklyn went to Florida to be in the track activities at Disneyworld in February.

Brooklyn looked up and waved at us when she heard Camille and Bruce yell her name. She is so excited. She had her hat decorated with her name in glitter. Brooklyn is planning to attend college in Logan, University of Utah.

You sure do look beautiful Brooklyn. It is so nice that of all the things you have to worry about, beauty is not one of them. So check that off your list. DO NOT WORRY, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. (check}

Brooklyn liked this picture the best. We are really proud of her. Tinisha was able to get off work to come to the graduation. But she did work on a paper during the talks. It is called multitasking. That is what you have to do sometimes.

This is another very proud moment for Bruce. We know he will be excited that Brooklyn will be attending college. You have been a great support to your family and always there to help them accomplish all that they want. You have been good to show them how to work, study and ofcourse play. At a very young age your girls have been doing sports, water activities, even when it means getting them wet by throwing them in the lake. I remember you would say,"what is the worse thing that could happen to you". They are very athletic, very well rounded and you have been very supportive of "cheerleaders" and "pageants". Thanks for being a great dad.

Mike and I were able to have Dakota take our picture with Brooklyn. We so love all of our grandchildren and all of the things they are able to do. Although it is very hard to watch them grow up so fast. They are certainly a blessing in our lives.

Don't know where Tinisha was. I think Mike was hoping all of the girls were there, but how good to have Camille, Dakota and Brooklyn. Thanks Dakota for smiling. You know this is for my blog don't you.

The girls took this picture while we were waiting for the graduates. It is always fun to sit with Camilles family and catch up. So proud of you Brooklyn and all of your accomplishments. We all support and love you.

Cannon and Carter's Band Concert

One of the fun things about being a Grandma and Grandpa is we get to watch the kids play in band, watch them in track, watch them graduate and watch them play in sports and be in fun singing programs. Cannon and Carter both play saxophones. I remember watching them practice every day in our home. They really enjoyed playing. They have worked very hard this year and practice in a jazz band early morning. We are really proud of their hard work. Carter plays the bigger one. Think it is an alto saxophone.

As Cannon walks in his place, several of his classmates cheer and say Yeah Cannon.

This is so much fun seeing both of these boys play together. We have loved watching them play baseball on the same team, too. After this great performance, Cannon would be getting ready to go to Lagoon with the eighth grade band, and Michelle was going to be a chaparone. Carter was going to be going camping with his ward. He will be getting ready for Cedar Badge. They sure do keep busy.

Look at the smiles on both Carter and Mike. Sure love you, and you did a great job. The band teacher said they received the highest scores ever in their music festival last week. Michelle took a few videos of them playing, but I could just download one on You Tube.

Cannon and Carter helped take chairs and instruments out to the trailor, so we were some of the last ones in the auditorium. We loved their shirts that say BAND on the back. They had always worn white shirts and ties. Tom and Michelle saved us a place to sit. They told us about the trip they are planning for all four of their boys. So happy they can all go.

Yes, we are pretty proud of these boys. I am now the short one as these boys are getting so tall.

This was so cute with the boys putting their arms around each other. Good little buddies. That is what they used to do when they were little. Always taking care of each other.

This was so much fun, just had to put this picture in.

David, Whitney and boys at the Cabin

David and Whitney brought the boys up on Wednesday. It was sunny and so beautiful outside. I went to the cabin a little early to get the water turned on and the heaters turned up. We were all amazed at the snow in front of the cabin. It began melting fast. When the boys went for a walk, they had just as much fun throwing rocks into the puddles as in the river.

Emmett and Mak are standing on the huge snowdrift at the end of our driveway. There is so much snow in Island Park. It was so much fun having the little boys there for a few days. Mak wanted me to bring caramel to the cabin. It was so tempting for me, so I ate quite a bit along with the boys.

David and Whitney climbed onto the snowdrift too. But I zoomed in just to get them closer. They looked so cute together. David bought Mak a fishing pole. It was a Spiderman pole with a plastic fish on the end. He would go to the loft and cast the plastic fish off the stairs and then real it in. Later they bought worms and tried there luck in the river. It was very relaxing throwing rocks and watching the birds fly under the bridge.

We had so much fun going for walks, but a lot of mud all around. Whitney made some cute bows and head bands for their little girl. It will be so much fun having a cute little girl running around. Mak and Emmett will be good big brothers. Whitney brought muffins, donuts, and pizza up for us to eat. That was great as I really don't like to cook at the cabin. It is just fun watching movies and visiting. Mike had court Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, so he didn't get to the cabin until Thursday night. Mak had us call him to bring King Kong. He would watch that movie at the old cabin, so he knows it is a cabin movie. I also have made pillowcases with deer, fish and bears on them, so he knows they are the cabin pillows. Emmett likes looking at the fish too.

We take advantage of being so close to Yellowstone. We saw several babies and mother buffalo on the river. The ranger gave Mak and Emmett each a map. So each time we jumped out of the car to see an animal, Mak had his map with him. He liked pointing out the buffalo and elk that were along the road.

The buffalo were very close to us. But the stump was very good protection incase a buffalo wanted to get a little closer. Mak has his map.

Mak has always loved looking through binoculars. The rock was perfect for him to sit and look at the buffalo a bit better.

There were a few elk along the river just eating. They really didn't care that we were there getting pictures. Emmett was looking back at the elk and wondering if he would get any closer.

Mak has his map with him as he compares the picture of the elk to the elk he is looking at.

You just cannot get enough pictures of these cute little boys. They were so good as we traveled. We had a few snacks in the car for them.

David was so close to the elk. He picked some grass and wanted it to eat out of his hand. But the elk was a bit startled and moved away from him.

We stopped at a geyser basin and walked around. We remember last year when we walked around the basin with both Michael and David's families. It was cold and windy then. We felt so bad for the kids trying to keep warm. But the pictures we took of both families are priceless. Wish they lived closer to us.

Emmett is having the most fun just wading in the puddles of cold melted snow. What kid doesn't love throwing rocks and watching the water splash. Lucky that Whitney had several pair of shoes for the boys so we could let them dry. After playing in the mud, he had splats of mud on his clothes, face and hands. Good times.

You are such a hunk, Mike. It is so much fun always hanging out with you. You are my very best friend. Thanks for the good life.

If you can believe it, this is Big Springs. They must have barely plowed the road from Macks Inn. We had to climb snow drifts to get to the docks. The sun was shining, and soon Mak and Emmett had their shoes off and wanting David and Whitney to put them in the river. We did see a few fish and a muskrat. The boys threw in bread pieces and just watched it float under the bridge for another fish to eat. We wish we could have stayed all day. So pretty and peaceful.

What a cute couple. I tried to get pictures with the boys in, but David reminded me that they were the first part of that family and it was okay just to get a picture without the boys.

These are two cute brothers that are wanting to take care of each other. I think they are running from one puddle to another puddle. We had a great trip at the cabin. I love having the washer and dryer to keep up with Mak and Emmetts wet clothes from wading in the water.

Trip to Yellowstone with Grandma Robison

We were expecting David and Whitney to come to the cabin for the weekend. So Mike and I needed to get to the cabin and get the water and heaters turned on. We called up my mom around 9:30 and told her that we would pick her up around 11:00 for a nice drive to Island Park. After we turned on the heaters and water, we couldn't resist the opportunity to drive to check on the buffalo in the park. Well, we saw this baby buffalo in the middle of the road, looking for its mother, who had crossed the road already. It was crying and cars on both sides limiting its sight of its mother. My mother watched the baby finally getting to the other side and finding its mother. We watched as it jumped up and down kicking its feet and wagged its tail. Guess that is how we all act when we see our mom after a brief separation.

We walked around this geyser, the mist was very heavy, and there went our poofy hair and good rat jobs.

We crossed the river to get to the geysers, and these buffalo wanted to be close to the warm water also.

We took turns taking each others pictures with the steamy mist in the background. It is always fun to take Mom with us. She said that she hadn't walked around the geysers for years. Dad would rush by and need to get on Yellowstone Lake and get the boat permit. Mom looked back thinking about all of the responsibility of taking all the kids, food, camping gear and equipment in the boat to last a week. She was so nervous as she looked back on those memories. I told her that we all have great memories of those trips and so glad Mom and Dad provided those good times for us. Those were great trips. I get nervous thinking of the time I hooked Rick with the three pronged hook. Dad had to cut it out with a knife. Ricks suntan went white and pale. Sorry Rick. Times the bears opened the MandM packages, times when we had five fish on the poles at a time, yes, those were good times for the Robison family. We thank Dad for always taking us. He said in one of his history writings that "we were his friends and he liked spending time with us," and he and Mom were our best friends.

We had to hurry to take this picture before the buffalo walked to the other side.

We took this picture as one was leaving the bridge and before the other one walked across.
We had a great trip, lunch at Subway, bought a pizza to eat at Moms in the evening, and talked for hours. She is a great Mom to us and has always been a great example to follow.

Fun With Troy, Melissa, and Boys

We were able to have dinner at my favorite hamburger spot, In and Out. It is fun seeing Melissa and Troy with their cute little boys. I really enjoyed being with them and seeing their busy lives in Utah. I can see that all of you are busy keeping up with your families and your activities.

Nixon had fun one afternoon playing with the neighbors birthday present. They have a great hill that it so much fun. It reminds me of the hill we had in Moscow when Camille, Jody and Michael were little. You kids would spend hours riding your inchworms and wearing out your K-Mart shoes. Come to think of it, I don't think they did have a K-Mart then.

Morgan came home from school and joined the boys who had been having fun. It had snowed the day before, and now was still a bit cold. The sun was shining though, so it makes it feel good.
He is in a hurry to get on the scooter, but Melissa tackled him for a picture.

Boston and Trey were watching as Nixon showed us how he could get around the driveway.

Melissa and Trey were so cute together. Trey always says cheese when he gets his picture taken. He thinks he is as big as the boys and can do anything they can do.

It is finally Bostons turn. As each of the kids took turns riding the scooter, the other boys were playing "Bayblades" in the yard. Later that evening Morgan, Boston and Nixon were invited to a birthday party and had pizza and movie. Melissa and Troy invited me to an evening of shopping and In and Out hamburgers.

Morgan had so much fun with the scooter. They are very powerful. You know the boys had a great time. Melissa and I would drop the boys off at school, grab a mug and tackle a new day of challenges.

Melissa and I would pick Boston and Nixon up at school, and then go to a park of their choice and spend an hour. We would sip on a mug and watch the kids play. It felt so good to have a bit of sunshine. Springtime has been quite slow coming to all of us.

Melissa decided it looked so much fun, she wanted to climb the toys. The boys always love her to play with them. We loved watching them play with the energy of boys.

This was just such a cute picture of Trey, I just wanted to put it in. He ran as fast as the other boys.

One night we went to a soccer game. Nixon and Boston were on the same team. They just had three show up for the game. So these boys ran their hearts out. We were in blankets watching them, and they were so hot running to make the goals.

Yes, Boston made most of the points and took his team to a win. He was fast and knew just what to do on the field. We just yelled and had so much fun watching them.

Trey was also cheering them on. It is so much fun to see the support the boys have for each other.

This is the new toy the kids are playing with now. Bayblades. Trey can do it just like Boston and Nixon. They sure do have fun.

Melissa and the boys are enjoying roasting marshmellows in their back yard. The Easter bunny brought this for the family. They found their wood on the river bottoms in South Jordan. Troy added charcoal to the wood and made a great fire. Now all we needed was Grandpa to tell us some scarey stories as the sun goes down. Those stores go hand in hand with a fire outside.

Troy wanted to see how the hotdog would taste. They boys just wanted the marshmellows, and really just wanted to see how fast they could burn.

We really loved being in the backyard and having fun together. Yes, even these big marshmellows burn. I told Melissa she would have to buy mini marshmellows.

You wouldn't think that a little fire like that would put out any smoke, but we still had to wash all the clothes and jackets. Look at the boys watching the Indian television as Grandpa would put it.

The boys were so good to stand together for a picture. I told them that I would put it in the blog and they could see it on the computer. It is fun seeing how fast our family is growing. We found out that David and Whitney were having a little girl this week. I was taking Trey on a bike ride when David text. So I called him back while I was going in circles. So excited for them. I had a wonderful time with Melissa, Troy and the boys. Thanks for the fun days.
